Senior Manx politicians have lined-up to condemn highly critical comments about the Island's government by MHK Peter Karran.
The Onchan member and Liberal Vannin leader told delegates to his party's AGM last weekend that the Island has a system of government that is 'institutionally corrupt'.
The outspoken remarks have triggered a chorus of protest among Tynwald members, some of whom have complained to Speaker of the Keys Steve Rodan, that they cast a slur over all members.
Mr Rodan has today issued a statement describing the comments as unwarranted, untrue and deeply offensive.
Now the chief minister has added his condemnation.
