She says the secret to a long life is 'resting and listening'
An Isle of Man resident says the secret to a long and healthy life is 'a lot of resting and listening'.
Emily Warner, fondly known as Kay, celebrates her 100th birthday today at Grove Mount Residential Home in Ramsey.
The Leeds born lass worked in Armaments Factory during the war and after meeting her husband Ben got married and moved to Canada where he was a Major in the Canadian Air Force.
They lived in France and Germany before settling in the Isle of Man in 1982 because of Ben's love for motorbikes.
Kay told Manx Radio in her younger days she also enjoyed community work like running the Women's Institute in the UK and helping in her own community in Ballaugh.
