Secret ballot gone and majority only needed
The way members of the House of Keys vote when electing the person to replace Tony Wild on the Legislative Council next month will be a matter of public record.
Nominations for the post open today until Wednesday, 3 May, with an election scheduled for Thursday, 18 May, at 2.30pm.
A series of amendments was approved on Tuesday and a candidate will be successful with a simple majority vote.
