More than 86% of allowable catch landed
With the end of the Isle of Man King Scallop season just over a week away, more than 86% of the total allowable catch has been landed.
The latest uptake report from government shows that by the end of week 29 over 1,885 tonnes had been caught from a permitted limit of 2,179 tonnes.
In Ramsey Bay, where fishing is by permit only, just two and a half tonnes of the 42 tonnes allowable catch remains.
The Scallop season runs from November until the 31 May.
