Kiosk open as usual despite storm damage

Peel was said to have got some of the biggest gusts during Storm Darragh

The co-owner of Peel Beach Kiosk says they are open as normal today despite the storm damage over the weekend.

Storm Darragh is said to have been one of the worst storms the Isle of Man has seen in recent history.

Severe gales and storm force winds saw more than 200 trees brought down, closing a number of roads around the Island.

In Peel, after receiving the worst of the wind, the west coast was then affected by high waves and coastal overtopping.

Frankie Horne, who co-owns the Beach Kiosk, spent most of Sunday (8 December) on clean-up operations.
