Athlete aims to give it another go
A local endurance athlete is vowing to come back stronger, after having to drop out of her charity challenge at the weekend.
Olivia Newstead aimed to run 100 miles around the Island's coastal footpath, the Raad ny Foillan, in less than 24 hours.
She's raising money for the Children's Centre.
In a post on social media, Olivia said her knee started to give her trouble from about 30 miles in, reducing her pace to a 'close shuffling', and ultimately she had to stop after 65 miles.
Olivia says after some rest and rehab, she will be trying the run again.
She's also thanked all the runners and drivers who supported her along the way.
