The head of King William's College has paid tribute to a sixth form pupil who has died following a car accident on Sunday evening.
Seventeen year old Dosch MacLeod was transferred to the Walton Centre in Liverpool with critical injuries after the crash at the 11th Milestone known as Drinkwater's Bend on the Ballacraine to Kirk Michael Road.
There were two vehicles involved.
The occupants of the other car have been treated at Noble's Hospital.
KWC Principal Martin Humphreys says Dosch was a big man with a big heart and his death has hit the College community hard.
Yesterday pupils and staff gathered in the College Chapel for prayer.
Mr Humphreys says their priority now is to support the family and all the pupils, many of whom are taking exams at this difficult time.
His statement closes by adding that Marcia Brabbs, Dosch’s mother, and the whole MacLeod family wish to thank all those who have sent prayers and messages of support.
