Liberal Vannin leader believes party system makes it easier to hold members to account
A lack of party politics means there are rarely big policy shifts on the Island because 'everything is a compromise'.
That's the view of the leader of the Liberal Vannin party, who says the absence of a governing party makes it hard to hold politicians to account during an election.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper is the only member of Liberal Vannin in Tynwald.
He believes independent members can use the current system as an excuse for failing to deliver on their promises:
