MLC critical of State of Nation address
The Island's longest-serving politician has criticised the lack of praise from the current chief minister for the work in building reserves carried out by past administrations.
David Cretney MLC says those funds have allowed the current regime to go ahead and purchase the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company as an example.
Mr Cretney says Howard Quayle never mentioned the past work of political representatives in his State of the Nation address.
He says it was a very different picture when he was first elected to the House of Keys in 1985:-
