Firm claims scheme could create 140 jobs
A not-for-profit organisation looking to establish a dementia village on Island would employ around 140 local workers if land for the project can be found.
Belong has 20 years experience in the sector; it wants to acquire a minimum two-acre community site in Douglas, Onchan or Braddan.
Although it's currently in talks with the Health and Social Care minister, it says it's also open to purchasing land from the private sector, or from an individual.
Belong runs five sites in North West England - inviting locals, schools, college students and entertainers to engage with its residents.
