Jurby museum showcases
The Bloodhound landspeed show car is on display to the public today (Sat 23rd), at the Isle of Man Motor Museum in Jurby.
Bloodhound is a British engineering project aiming to set a new world record, attempting to reach a boggling 1,000 miles per hour.
Two Bonneville land-speed-record-holding motorbikes, Guy Martin's 'wall of death' bike, and a steam-powered motorcycle aiming to break a record next year, are also being exhibited in a showcase of extreme speed.
Museum Director Darren Cunningham says the Isle of Man has a strong relationship with record-breaking motorsport:
