Island charity CIRCA is celebrating enrolling its 1000th volunteer.
Retired podiatrist Mary Kerruish was welcomed to the charity this week at a special presentation attended by Chief Minister Allan Bell.
CIRCA matches the skills and interests of members of the public with the needs of local charities and voluntary groups.
Volunteers are also placed with organisations such as the prison and probation service, with some helping vulnerable people using the Island's mental health and drug and alcohol services.
In some instances, volunteers are offered jobs after their placements.
Landmark volunteer Mary Kerruish will offer podiatry services to patients at the hospice, one day a week.
