Proposals would create 1.5-hectare wooded area
Landowners in the west of the Island want to create a 1.5-hectare wooded area to tackle climate change.
It's proposed 1,000 trees will be planted at Lower Skerrisdale in Kirk Michael, because the owners believe it will benefit future generations by helping to reduce carbon emissions.
If approved, the applicants are also intending to apply to the Woodland Grant Scheme.
A number of Manx native species would be planted, including rowan, hawthorn and silver birch.
