Reaction to drop in Manx students learning foreign languages
The headteacher of King William's College believes the Island should be making an effort to empathise with other cultures.
Joss Buchanan was speaking on Manx Radio's Perspective programme looking at the record low number of pupils studying foreign languages in Manx schools.
Some have put the drop down to the lack of accessibility at a younger age and the need for more funding.
Mr Buchanan says this is even more important in the current social climate:
