The outdoors and school games to inspire next generation of linguists
A foreign language tuition service is taking its classes outdoors with the aim of putting the fun into learning Spanish.
Conversa, founded by private tutor Emma Humphrey at the beginning of the year, is collaborating with Active Souls, a group that promotes play as exercise.
The first session will be held at Noble's Park next Wednesday (14 Aug), and will be tailored for children who are beginners.
Miss Humphrey, who has a BA Hons degree in French and Hispanic studies, hopes it will get students more excited about language learning:
To hear more about language learning on the Isle of Man you can listen again to a podcast from Manx Radio's Perspective programme, which featured Conversa, alongside a panel of linguists.
