
It’s crunch day for Blackpool Airport, after bosses said if a deal can’t be reached today then it’ll be forced to close.
A statement at the end of September said if no buyer’s found by October 7, then the facility will stop commercial flights on October 15.
Balfour Beatty, which has owned Blackpool International Airport since 2008, announced in August it was putting the business up for sale.
It said the operation had been running at a loss for a number of years.
Citywing currently operates flights from the Isle of Man to the Lancashire resort.
