Elections are scheduled for 24 April
Today (25 March) is the last day for residents to register to vote in the Local Authority Elections.
People who need a postal vote should apply through their commissioners or council for information which must be sent back before the deadline - 5pm on 23 April.
Postal votes can also be handed in on polling day between 8am and 8pm.
The deadline to apply for a proxy vote will be published tomorrow.
If an election is going to be held in your area, a polling card will be issued which will tell the polling station location and additional information.
People wanting to stand have until 1pm tomorrow (26 March) to submit their nomination papers.
