Plaque unveiled near scene of tragedy

The family of a young motorcyclist killed in a road accident at last year's Festival of Motorcycling have unveiled a plaque in his memory on the Mountain Road. 

Twenty-two year old Lewis Clark from West Yorkshire died in a head-on collision with another biker near the Black Hut, a year ago today (30 August).

The other rider, who had strayed into Lewis's path, also died.

Since the tragedy, the Clark family has launched a road safety campaign, highlighting the impact the loss has had on them.  

Lewis's parents Beverley and Andrew were joined by relatives, friends, police officers and TT marshals to mark a life cut short - with one his heros Ramsey rider Conor Cummins, unveiling the plaque on the marshals' cabin.

Beverley says her son lived for motorcycling - and making a pilgrimage to the Island on his anniversary was a fitting tribute:
