Demonstration clash behind organisers decision
The latest planned protest about the Manx Gas standing charge has been called off.
Campaigners unhappy at the company’s banding charge regime had been scheduled to hold a demonstration outside the House of Keys next Tuesday (January 23).
However, organisers have cancelled it as an ongoing protest against abortion reforms is being held at the same time.
Manx Gas recently launched a customer charter, reviewing its pricing structure and pledging to compensate anyone who was put on the wrong standing charge in error and overpaid.
