No routine appointments at surgeries around Island
Routine doctor's appointments won't be available this afternoon, as the latest GP education session takes place.
A speaker from the Royal College of General Practitioners will be addressing Island GPs between 1 - 6pm.
Practices will remain open during the afternoon for patients to collect test results, make future appointments and order repeat prescriptions as normal.
Anyone who needs to see a doctor urgently should ring their surgery for an appointment with the on-call GP.
Topics being discussed by doctors at this gathering will include diabetes and cholesterol.
The quarterly sessions were established in 2012, to give GPs the opportunity to discuss developments in medical care and best practice.
