A charity providing rehabilitation and social reintegration of uniformed service people launches today (16 August).
Heroes on the Water Isle of Man aims to use kayak angling, to offer physical and mental therapy for military members and emergency service personnel.
Part of a worldwide organisation, the Isle of Man branch hopes to run a number of sessions on the Island free of charge each year for people currently serving in the forces or retired.
Visiting members of Heroes on the Water will also be provided with free accommodation on the Island thanks to an agreement with the Joey Dunlop Foundation.
The charity's official launch, supported by the Steam Packet Company, takes place at 1030am on Port Erin beach.
