Committee focuses on ADT today
Regulation of the Island's legal services will be placed under Tynwald's scrutiny spotlight today (23 April).
A committee is investigating the role of the Law Society, with a focus on the Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal (ADT).
Council members of the society, Ms Vicky Unsworth, Ms Kathryn Clough and Mr Peter Clucas are set to give oral evidence at 10:30 in the morning.
They'll be followed by members of the ADT, Mr Peter Scott, Mr Peter Wood, Mr Jeremy Callin and Mrs Jean Purvis.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the session, which is being held in the Legislative Council Chamber in Douglas.
Proceedings will also be streamed via the Tynwald website.
