Move comes after by-laws banning swimming in harbours was ignored
Two areas of Laxey harbour will be closed today to prevent dangerous conduct from swimmers.
The public won't be able to access the outer breakwater and harbour jetty after safety advice and by-laws were ignored.
The Department of Infrastructure is reminding Manx residents it's an offence to swim or bathe in any part of a harbour, while diving from harbour piers is also banned.
Those caught ignoring the rules risk a fine of up to £5,000.
