Christ Church will serve as welcome centre
A new heritage trail has helped keep one of the Island's churches open.
Christ Church in Laxey was facing amalgamation, but has been saved thanks to the Visit Laxey Valley Heritage Trail, which launches at midday tomorrow.
Those embarking on the trail will get to learn about characters from Laxey's mining times, as well as visiting historical sites.
Vicar Jo Dudley explains how the church came to be involved:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
Plans submitted for 85 new homes on former Buchan School site
