Adam Horsey will take on the mountain for the Teenage Cancer Trust
A man from Laxey is set to take on Mount Kilimanjaro for charity later this year (August 2026).
Adam Horsey, a student at Lancaster University will be undertaking the challenge in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
With a target of £5,000, he's already completed two challenges - a 5km run everyday in November and exercising for a full 24 hours last month.
Adam, whose next event is to run 115km on Douglas Promenade tomorrow (5 January) explained why he is raising money:
Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa, and the highest free-standing mountain above sea level in the world at at 5,895 meters.
