More trees at risk of falling on coast road
A section of the Laxey to Ramsey coast road will remain closed until this afternoon due to the risk of more trees falling in the area.
The route has been shut near to the junction with Mines Road since early this morning after a tree blocked the carriageway.
The Department of Infrastructure is working to remove the fallen tree, but an examination of the area has found a further two trees on the bank overlooking the road at risk of falling.
As a result, the closure will remain in place until 4.30pm.
The DoI is liaising with Isle of Man Transport, with bus services having been diverted around the closure this morning.
