45-year-old admits charge of resisting arrest
A Laxey woman will be sentenced next month after admitting kicking police officers and trying to bite them.
Forty-five-year-old Julie Louise Hall of the Ballacannell Estate appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
She admitted one charge of resisting police and two of assaulting them on 17 October.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon told the court police were called to Hall’s home at around 2am and arrived to find her obviously drunk.
Officers decided to take no action, but were called back to the address around two hours later.
They arrested Hall, but as they were taking her into custody she became aggressive, kicking two officers in a struggle.
Her advocate told the court Hall suffered from anxiety and had a panic attack when the officers said she would be arrested.
Magistrates asked for pre-sentencing reports to be prepared and bailed her to appear again on 17 February.
