Garff MHK says recent rainfall brings back concerns
Several families who live on Glen Road in Laxey still aren’t back in their homes, after the major flooding incident last October.
That’s according to Garff MHK Martyn Perkins, who was reacting after more flooding in the area last week.
A heavy overnight downpour saw more than 40mm of rainfall in under two hours, less than a year since Laxey found itself in the headlines across the British Isles.
Mr Perkins says the effects of that incident are ongoing, never mind more recent floods:
