Condition affects around 350 people on the Island
The director of an international organisation dedicated to finding a cure for ME is set to visit the Island next month.
Invited by the Manx M.E. Association, Linda Tannenbaum, head of the Open Medicine Foundation in California will arrive on May 24.
She'll be holding a public meeting to discuss the illness, which severely affects her son, as well as meeting Tynwald members and Health Minister Kate Beercroft.
The M.E. support group is hoping Mrs Tannenbaum's visit will persuade the Manx government to provide proper care for the estimated 350 local ME sufferers.
