Management shake-up blamed
The former head of the Island's largest brewery has explained his 'difficult' decision to quit.
Dr Mike Cowbourne left Heron & Brearley last week after almost 40 years in charge of the Okell's range of ales.
The microbiologist moved here in the early 1980s, and has stayed with the brand through a period of change in the pub trade.
He's blaming a management shake-up for his resignation.
Now planning to spend his retirement brewing beer at home, Dr Cowbourne says it's an unfortunate end to his career.
