Minister says department will defend case 'vigorously'
Legal action has been taken against government concerning the human rights of prisoners during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Department of Home Affairs confirmed the position at a sitting of the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee last month.
Interim chief executive Dan Davies said the department 'refutes all allegations relating to any abuses of human rights'.
Minister Graham Cregeen added the department will defend the case 'vigorously'.
