Follows MHK's call for talks over decriminalisation
A Douglas East MHK has called for ‘honest and open dialogue’ about the war on drugs.
Joney Faragher says the Isle of Man needs to talk about decriminalisation saying police here are ‘fighting a multi-headed replicating beast’.
She made the comments after attending a recent conference on exploitation which focussed on the way young and vulnerable people were being targeted through county lines.
Detective Inspector Jamie Tomlinson helped organise the event but says decriminalisation is a 'complex' issue:
Manx Radio invited Ms Faragher to discuss her comments – she declined the request.
