Nine candidates nominated for four seats
The House of Keys will sit this afternoon in a bid to fill the four vacant seats on the Legislative Council.
Nine candidates are standing in the election, requiring a minimum of 12 votes from MHKs to secure a spot in Tynwald's upper chamber.
Changes have been made to the election process in recent years to reduce the need for several rounds of voting.
Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson believes revealing who MHKs vote for makes them more accountable to the public:
The House of Keys will sit from 2.30pm. You can follow coverage of the election on Manx Radio's AM 1368 frequency, at ManxRadio.com or via the smartphone apps.
