Brian Brumby hopes 'hands-on' background will prove his cability
The number of Legislative Council nominees has now reached double figures.
Brian Brumby has been nominated by Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Johnston and seconded by Douglas East member Clare Barber.
Mr Brumby has a significant background in farming and agriculture spanning more than 40 years and held the presidency of the Manx National Farmers Union for six years.
The nomination has received support from MHKs Alex Allinson and John Wannenburgh.
LegCo nominations are set to close on 24 February.
