Votes overlooked in Ayre and Michael
The returning officer behind a counting blunder in last month's general election says there are improvements to be made to the system.
Over 100 votes went uncounted in the constituency of Ayre & Michael on 23 September - an error which made no difference to the eventual result.
A later investigation by the Attorney General blamed 'human error' for the mix-up, and no action was taken against man in charge Simon Cain.
Mr Cain says he 'takes full responsibility' for the incident - but identifies some 'lessons to be learned'.
