Diversions in operation since June
Drivers in the north of the Island are relieved after the reopening of a major route.
Roadworks on Lezayre Road in Ramsey have been completed a week ahead of schedule, and diversions around the area have been removed.
The project involved the reconstruction of the junction at Bircham Avenue, resurfacing parts of the carriageway, and the replacement of a puffin crossing outside Ramsey Grammar School.
Posting the announcement on Facebook, the Department of Infrastructure thanked 'residents, schools and businesses for their patience' during the works.
Buses have also returned to normal.
