Assertion dismissed by Speaker
The Liberal Vannin party may claim to be the Manx government’s opposition – but one of its MHKs was firmly told today there’s no such thing.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran described his party as the ‘Opposition in this House’ during a debate in the House of Keys this morning.
However, his comments brought their own warning from Speaker of the Keys Steve Rodan.
Mr Rodan pointed out there simply isn’t an official opposition:
