Chair calls for key workers to be awarded
Liberal Vannin has written to the UK Government, suggesting it issues a medal to recognise the work of a number of people during the coronavirus pandemic.
The ‘Coronavirus Medal for Service’ is the brainchild of Michael Josem, the party's chairman.
He wants the Manx government and other parties to endorse the idea, saying it’s “entirely above politics.”
Mr Josem says it’s “a way to show our gratitude” to key workers across private and public sectors.
