Cat turner to stand in by-election
The LibVan party has announced its candidate to contest a local authority seat left vacant in the row over the electoral roll.
Cat Turner will stand for the party in Victoria Ward, for the council seat which had been occupied by Jon Joughin until he was forced to resign for not being on the Island’s voters’ list.
She spent thirty years working in the finance sector, before working for local community and environmental groups.
LibVan leader Kate Beecroft described her an excellent candidate, with valuable experience and a commitment to party values and policies.
