Peel RNLI called out to assist Scottish vessel
A pleasure boat from Scotland which got into difficulty in Manx waters has been rescued.
The eight-metre vessel – which was suffering from engine failure - was towed into Peel on Thursday night.
Peel RNLI responded following a request for help from the coastguard.
Crew found the boat 12 miles north of Peel and safely returned it to the marina.
Volunteer Coxswain Mike Faragher said: "This is the type of incident our volunteer crew prepare for.
"It was satisfying to be able to assist the casualties by putting our training into practice."
