Strong winds are believed to be responsible for the incident
Southern lifeboat crews were called into action after a kayaker was struggling in windy conditions.
Port Erin lifeboat launched shortly before 11am yesterday, along with a volunteer crew, which conducted a coastal search from Bradda Head to Port Erin beach.
They located a young male in a kayak at Spaldrick Bay, who was fatigued after battling the force five off shore wind.
Crews escorted him back to Port Erin beach and made sure they were safely back on land, before heading back to the station.
