Tower of Refuge raises awareness
The Tower of Refuge and other landmarks will light up red tomorrow, to raise awareness of a rare life-limiting illness a local girl has.
Three-year-old Levi-Rose Watterson has Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which, among things, can cause spontaneous organ and arterial rupture and extreme hypermobility.
There is currently no treatment or cure for VEDS, which affects 220 people in the British Isles.
