Government takes weed problem seriously says Chief Minister
Financial constraints mean weeds on Island roads are 'not a top priority' for government.
Concerns have been expressed recently about the state of unsightly weeds on pavements and roads around the Island.
There's also a worry they could damage the surface and break up the road.
Responsibility for the issue has been moved from central to local government.
Chief Minister Allan Bell says this transfer may slow down a solution to the problem.
