Two kings of the kitchen will battle it out at the final of one of the Island's most prestigious cookery competitions.
Chefs Darren Woods from 14 North in Douglas and Danny Johnson from The Abbey Restaurant in Ballasalla, won their respective heats to reach the final of the I Love Manx Chef of the Year.
Judges at a public cook-off hosted by sponsor Robinson's at a mini Manx food market on Saturday (6 September) assessed four competitors in their use of local produce, as well as the taste and presentation of their dishes.
Contrasting use of Manx food saw Darren create a vegetarian dish using beetroot, goat's cheese and quail's eggs, while Danny's seafood dish included Manx lobster and crab.
The final will take place during the Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival at the Villa Marina gardens on September 20 and 21.
