Manx Care has been liaising with Aintree's Trauma Centre since incident in Liverpool
Manx Care has confirmed its healthcare partners in Liverpool can support today's planned TT practice session.
It's after a road traffic collision during Liverpool's victory celebration yesterday (26 May) saw 65 people injured.
At a press briefing this afternoon (27 May), Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims said the car followed an ambulance after a road block on Water Street was lifted so paramedics could help a man who had a suspected heart attack.
Police in Merseyside also confirmed 11 people still being treated in hospital are 'recovering well'.
Many of those injured in the incident were sent to Aintree's Trauma Centre, raising question marks over its capacity to support the TT races.
Manx Care has now issued a statement, saying: "Manx Care has received confirmation from our health care partners in Liverpool that they are able to support the planned races today.
"This follows the incident that took place in Liverpool City Centre yesterday (26 May 2025)."
It added: "Manx Care would like to reinforce its continuing appreciation for the Aintree Major Trauma Centre and the Cheshire and Mersey Major Trauma Network teams for supporting the Isle of Man 365 days a year in delivering to our local population and visitors the best in trauma care."
