Drivers using the mountain road have come face to face with an imposing creature which has taken-up residence above one of the highest sections of the famous route.
A giant model of a four-horned Loaghtan Sheep has been created by local artists Stephanie Quayle and Darren Jackson at the Bungalow.
The couple are puting the finishing touches to their five metre high beast, and Stephanie says the lightning on Monday was quite a sight from on top of it!
The artists' work has been seen on the Island before. The pair created a 30-foot high Manannan for the Mannifest music festival and at Christmas they carved a throne from ice in the shopping streets of Douglas.
The natural scuplture of a native Manx sheep is part of the Island of Culture and organisers were determined it was erected prior to the start of this year's TT festival.
