Manannan scheduled for replacement in 2026
Government is not expecting another loan request from the Steam Packet for the next vessel it buys.

The Manxman was bought by the Steam Packet at a cost of £78m, with finance provided by the Treasury on arm’s length commercial terms.
The company's Sea Services agreement passed in Tynwald in 2019 has the Manannan scheduled for replacement in 2026.
When asked if the decision to buy the Steam Packet Company was the right one, Mr Cannan remained convinced:
