Hyperbaric Chamber Facility plans to soft launch later this year
A local charity has been registered to perform medical operations/ to treat medical conditions.
The Hyperbaric Medicine Facility is now an Independent Medical Agency, granted by the Department of Health and Social Care.
Charity Vice Chair, Ken Kinrade, says the facility hopes to soft launch in November.
However, he adds more will need to be done in the upcoming months for that to happen:
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy treats chronic wounds and other conditions in a sealed chamber providing up to three times the pressure of regular air.
This allows lungs to absorb more oxygen which helps tissues in the body heal.
The Hyperbaric Chamber Charity is looking for more volunteers.
