Cronkbourne Cricket Club hosting black tie dinner with Greame Swann attending
A local cricket club will be celebrating its 150th year with a former England international to be the guest speaker.
Graeme Swann will be attending Cronkbourne Cricket Club's black tie dinner tomorrow (12 September) to mark the occasion.
Club Chair, Kathryn Clough said: "Reaching 150 years is a tremendous milestone for Cronkbourne Cricket Club and we wanted to celebrate it in a way that reflects both our proud history and our exciting future."
The organisation was founded in 1876, making it one of the oldest sports clubs on the Island.
Officially Cronkbourne Sports and Social Club, football and hockey are also incoporated into the institution with Gymnasium FC and Bacchanalians (known as Bacchas) Hockey Club.
