Gary Carswell died during practices
An inquest into the death of a popular road racer from Ramsey is due to resume at Douglas courthouse this afternoon.
Gary Carswell died in Noble's hospital, after crashing during a practice session for a race meeting at Jurby Motodrome in April.
The 46-year-old finished third in the 2004 Senior TT, won the 1997 Senior Manx Grand Prix, and had eight top-ten finishes at the TT from 56 starts.
Tributes poured in following Gary Carswell's death.
He was described as a popular figure in the paddock who would always help people out.
Friend and fellow competitor Paul Duckett said he was someone who loved life and always did things with a smile on his face.
The inquest is set to resume at Douglas courthouse at 2pm.
